We are all volunteers. We have several levels of volunteer participation. The lead crew is the Core Team, next tier is the Support Team. Starting level is our Volunteer Team.
You do not need to be local to volunteer ... Like the troops, we're all from a hometown somewhere! In fact even the Core Team is spread all over the country and beyond ... Liz is in Washington, Larry, Chani & Leta are in New Mexico, Kevin is in Canada.
We also have volunteers in Virginia, Idaho, California, and even a few deployed to the desert.
We include active duty members, Purple Heart recipients, Gold Star Families, Veterans, loved ones of deployed troops, firefighters, police, ems, military family members, and community support members. We need to let departments everywhere know about the program ... That is the best thing you can do to help us ... let them know we have changed the program and we need them to go to the PLEDGE page! Once we get all the specifics of the new program ironed out and adoption requests open, the troops will be making requests for specific hometown shirts ... One troop per request.
We've said for years that it takes Heroes & Angels to make this all happen ... NO one at any level of this program receives a penny! All of us are truly volunteers. This program is about giving from the heart and we are the first to call it to a halt when any member goes into "I/me/my" mode. We're always looking for selfless, dedicated people who are all about troop morale. Get involved, we can always use more of both!
The following are Core Team, Support Team Members, Ambassadors, or Liaisons ... If you have any questions, or concerns, e-mail to: HeroShirts@aol.com

Remember, this effort only happens through the dedicated efforts of volunteers. What talents can you bring to the team?
BUT - STILL NO COLLECTING OF SHIRTS at departments. Let our heroes represent!
*When shirts come our way, we disperse them to wounded troops in the Fort Lewis area.
