Fallen Hero Series - Firefighter Robert J. Foti - FDNY

Died in the line of duty September 11th, 2001

Release Date: September 15th, 2007

Robert is the first fallen firefighter to be honoured in this series which pays respects to our troops and first responders.

Robert had been a firefighter for 13 years.

As a member of ladder 7, Robert responded to the South Tower of the World Trade Center along with Engine 16.

Both crews entered the South Tower together. All 9 Firefighters perished when the Tower collapsed.

To date no remains have been recovered of Robert, and his mother Rose continues to fight for the removal of remains buried along with debris from the Towers at the Fresh Kills garbage dump on Staten Island.

Kimberly Watley, a writer with Worth Remembering Publishing, wrote a story about Robert after speaking with Rose.
