*~~*~~*

Well, that's what we call 'em.  We have a lot of supporters across North America, and we are very thankful for all of them.  Now, are we talking about Brad & Angelina, Britney, Jennifer, Oprah, Ellen, Dierks, or any of the others purported to shine brighter than the mass of us?  Well no, at least not to our knowledge, but hey, we welcome them, too.

We do Twitter with Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Jimmy Fallon, John Mayer, George Strait & P Diddy ... But then, who doesn't?  LOL  We've invited them all to do a BadAss pose for us to join the ranks, but nothing yet.  The invite's still there!  ( ;  And for the rest of you, you can follow us on Twitter, too.  Find us under "HeroToHero"

You need to know that we do have a requirement of each of the Cha Cha's ... To be added, we have to get them to do the "BadAss Heroes" pose.  Don't know what that is?  Really?  Just take a walk around this site and you'll figure it out.  ( ;

Our Cha Cha's are not put into order by their orbit, they are there in the order of how long they have supported HeroToHero.US via their efforts and actions.  To be honest, we have had contacts with others, (in order)

Naomi Judd; Ironically I met her at the Red Cross' Real Heroes Breakfast at the Tacoma Dome the day I attended memorials for both TPD's Fallen Hero, Jim Lewis - And our own Fallen Hero, Jake Herring.  I went from meeting her backstage and giving her some of the HeartStones to deliver to the troops at Walter Reed on her scheduled visit to the other side of the Dome.  James memorial was actually held there at the Tacoma Dome, I had to leave it early to get to Fort Lewis for Jake's memorial.  It was a pretty surreal day, and I'm sure even Ms Judd will understand when I say that it is day I want never to repeat.

Roxie Dean; Who sings a beautiful tribute song honoring the wive's of our troops "I'm a soldier's wife" - She did a private mini concert for the wives of 3rd Cav at the Puyallup Armory a little while afer the war was in progress and I was honored to have been there for it.  She was a doll, and so respectful & receptive to the women there!  Roxie has since re-released the song, and added voice clips of wive's.  It is a powerful song.  Hey, Roxie, send us your pose!

Al Unser, Sr/Darrell Waltrip & Sam Hornish, Jr;  This was actually courtesy of Tammy Kahne who helped us get our Hero Team into the Tacoma Dome for the "Back the Track" event.  The newly returned troops were just ecstatic for the backstage opportunity, and we thank everyone involved in making that one happen!

Joe Nichols; Nothing personal Joe, but we were there to meet Toby Keith - Who gave a shout out from the stage saying Thank You to all of our Heroes; Firefighters, Police & Soldiers.  Our group was pretty sure it was for us, but no guarantees there, LOL.  One of our USMC team members got to go backstage, but we're still hoping to get Tobey to do a BadAss Heroes pose for us.  We met up with Joe later when he showed up at McCabe's for the afterparty & WSCFF Burn Calendar Firefighters signing event.  Joe was gracious enough to pose for a couple pictures with our mascot, Sharen SHertz- He even signed her jacket, but although he was a good sport I'm confident saying that he had no idea who we were.  All of these would qualify, but alas, no BadAss pose.  Sigh.  LOL.

Some of them are just a lot more familiar than the rest of us, and they are therefore able to help us reach more people who can help us all support all of our troops deployed so far from those they love.

The one they all share is that they truly support the troops, and it is not just about getting more press by doing so.  They support those that are still standing for the troops after more years than any of us anticipated.  They are the folks like ...

<< Our own Kasey Kahne - NASCAR #9, who made an impromptu visit without the media cameras following, without any big entourage, to visit our wounded troops here at Fort Lewis.

Watching him the next day at his press event, as he sat fielding questions, someone from the audience called out asking him how it felt to visit the troops the day before.  His posture changed, his expression was instantly deeper, and his always charming blue eyes told everyone that this visit was personal to him.

He took a moment before answering in a softer voice that it was something he would never forget and something he will definitely do again.  So proud for him in that moment. I know him only as my friend Tammy's son, and look forward to seeing him on the rare occasions that I have.  But I think every one in that room claimed him as their own that afternoon.  Tammmy runs the Kasey Kahne Store and has even added some of her own special designs.

Here is Kasey's BadAss Heroes pose ( ...With a few friends to back him up!  Some of you might notice H2H Hero Amabassador Karen Leming)

Kasey, YOU are a Hot Cha Cha!

~*~*~

Tyler Brown - Canada's #91 ...  Tyler, at 16 years of age, already has a long established racing career to his credit, having spent more than half of his life racing. During the 2007 racing season, Tyler raced throughout southern Ontario and the Northern United States, honing his skills and continuing to gain the respect of his fellow race competitors. But Tyler’s car racing experience didn’t start there. In 2006, Tyler became Delaware Speedway's youngest competitor to ever compete in the Late Model division, as well as the youngest "Late Model - Rookie of the Year" driver in the history of Delaware Speedway and 10th in the overall standings. During the 2005 season, he made his mark in the Ontario Pro Challenge Series by being their youngest driver ever, as well as the youngest race winner! Tyler first started racing go karts when he was 7 years old, where it became evident very quickly that he loved to drive. His need for speed took him across Canada for the Canadian National Go-Kart Championships and all over the USA with the World Karting Association.

And then, at the ripe old age of 17 he made it to the big times - Tyler came on as an Ambassador for HeroToHero.US/Team Canada.  LOL   Seriously though, he proudly displays our decal on his cars and on the huuuuuge tool box that made Kevin McHarg envious.

Way to represent - You, Tyler, are a Hot Cha Cha!

<< 108 year old Jack Babcock - Canada's last WWI Vet.  You cannot imagine how honored we are to have Jack onboard with us.  He not only knows the pose but will tell you straight that there is no smiling in a BadAss pose!

Jack, I may be your favourite red-head, but sir, I do believe that YOU are my all time favourite BadAss!

<< Julian Austin - The troops call him "Canada's Toby Keith/Bob Hope" -- We can see why, but we just know him as our friend Julian.  This guy was a part of us before any of us knew ... Look at that BadAss pose right on the cover of his album!  Niiiice!

Do yourself a favour and check out this sneak peek at his upcoming album.  This is the full version of Julian's latest single 'Fat Bottomed Girls' on UTube,  from the upcoming album 'One For One' to be released May 26, 2009.  He writes "This "just for fun" video was shot while recording in the studio. This is a disc I will be adding to my personal collection!  And I caught at least 2 BadAss poses in the video.  Lovin' that!~

Jules is the real deal!  Not only does he give back to the troops from the sale of his music ...

... But he puts his heart into everything he does in their name.  I have never met such a powerhouse!  We were so honored when he visited us here in Washington State to share his music with the American troops, as well as the Canadian troops at the Western Air Defense Sector.  He also visited Fort Lewis' Phoenix House Warrior Transition Battalion  and it was something none of us will forget.  <<Adam is one of Julian's fans from Phoenix House - He actually presented this guitar to Julian to show his thanks!

<< Julian performed two impromptu and personal mini concerts for our BadAss wounded troops - With no request for media attention, this was personal.  And he has promised a return visit!

Check out those guns!!!  (He looks BadAss & he is.  But what a sweetheart!)   Without a doubt Julian Austin is a Hot Cha Cha!
