AMERICAN FIRST RESPONDERS - PLEASE PLEDGE!
Most of you know that we changed the program and now you will have direct contact with your own requesting desert-deployed hometown troop(s).
Seriously, it will take any first responder less than two minutes to fill out the Pledge Form on our site.
We've been advised that some of you think that if you have sent shirts in the past, you are already pledged and this is not true! We MUST have the online Pledge form for the new program to work as we are going off your zip code and local high schools to get the adoptions as close to home as possible for our troops.
You need only do this one time to be set up for good - no renewing each year. Just let us know of any pertinent updated info as necessary.
We are asking EVERY first responder to Pledge ... Let us worry about redundancies in the forms. We'd rather have 50 pledges from one department than none.
This pledge commits you to ONE shirt per hometown troop. Once the request comes in, we will make the connection between you and your troop, then we step out. You can send the one signed department shirt, or if you want to do more - that is your option!
If you support Hero To Hero, we need you now more than ever. for the first time since we began we will not be opening troop requests this year ... Unless we can get you all to step up and help us get the word out - Please do!
As always, don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Thank you all, Liz HeroShirts@aol.com
PS ... Please take a moment of silence for slain Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton and say a prayer for his family and fellow officers. Note: As with many first responders, Officer Brenton was a veteran of military service, having served in the US Army. Rest in Peace Officer Brenton
