Looking for new team members in the Puget Sound
K folks, I have put it off as long as I can. Our Core Team has been scattered to the winds and beyond due to military orders and medical boards for the Purple Heart members.
I am looking at putting together a new local team to get us back out into the community and back on the front lines of troop support.
If you know this program, and support this program and our troops and first responders ... And you are local to McChord AFB, Fort Lewis, and Camp Murray - We just might be looking for YOU!!!
Know up front that ALL we do is on a VOLUNTEER BASIS! This is NOT a paying gig. We are a 501c3 non-profit
We need skills of all kinds. Remember, we are a NON political troop morale campaign. We want people who know how to focus on a task, get it done, and stay positive through it all.
Think you have nothing to offer? How many of the following describe you?
-Can you take pictures
-Do you have good handwriting
-Like to draw
-Have experience with non-profits
-Do graphics
-Live on the computer
-Ever moderated chat groups or forums
-Know excel spreadsheets
-Like to sew
-Like to draw
-Good with making things
-Have an artistic flair
-Think outside the box sometime
-Have bookkeeping or accounting skills
-Like writing
-Web experience
-Know how to write grants
-Need community service credits for school/groups
-Have a little OCD, as in, very organized
-Like going to events
-Good with people
-Can you sing
-Can you cook
-Like to speak in public
-Are you creative
-Are you a vet, or part of a military family
-Want to keep busy during your loved one's deployment
-Or just like doing good things with good people FOR great people in uniform
ANY of these things are of interest to us. We're not looking for you to be able to do ALL of the above - but dang, if you can, call me now!!! LOL
If you're thinking maybe you don't fit the bill, but have someone in mind, please refer them. And if you have an applicable talent you think I overlooked, let us know.
At this time there are no meetings that will be started up until after New Year's ... Our meetings are held monthly.
